We strongly recommend that prior to arriving to Uzbekistan all travelers obtain medical insurance. Choose an insurance provider with a travel medical plan that covers emergency medical and evacuation costs. Also, it is a good idea to have a provider that would additionally cover emergency dental treatment.
Emergency medical evacuations will get you out of a remote area in Uzbekistan and transported to the Tashkent International Clinic. Your insurance should also cover expenses of possible medical evacuation to a different country (or your home country) where you can receive specialized medical care. At times, such an evacuation requires that a medical professional travel with you and, in some extreme conditions, you may need to be evacuated by a medical jet. Good insurance policies cover all of that.
Some travel medical plans include Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) and/or term life benefits. This coverage can complement your life insurance benefits and provide extra coverage for you or your family in the case of a serious accident.
